<image:title>Home - Structural Integration is a type of bodywork that focuses on releasing restrictions in the connective tissue or fascia.</image:title>
<image:caption>Fascia that is restricted will pull our body systems out of alignment. Structural imbalances often translate into a wide range of symptoms perceived as discomfort, fatigue and joint problems. Through hands-on therapy, movement and education I will help bring your body back into alignment so that it can function with greater ease and efficiency.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Owner and Founder of Keystone Structural Integration Throughout my career in the health and wellness field, I have been fascinated with the way different parts of the body are interconnected and the impact one piece can have on the whole. As an acute care nurse for 20 years to certifications in massage therapy and structural integration, I have spent the last several decades learning how the body moves, heals and responds to what we call pain.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Every client’s therapy plan is unique to their specific situation. If you are experiencing chronic pain, tension, fatigue or limited range of motion, you may benefit from SI. Athletes looking to improve performance and recovery frequently find SI beneficial. Oftentimes your physical therapist or doctor may recommend manual therapy. My approach to Structural Integration is to interpret what is happening in your body, then customize our sessions to meet your body’s unique needs as well as your goals. Through hands on therapy, SI works to soften connective tissue to restore postural balance. I may ask you to move throughout the session. This will help correct your pattern of movement and rebalance the nervous system. Superficial patterns need to be addressed first before we can work on balancing deeper patterns. Sessions are guided by the Structural Integration principles, but are unique to you. It’s important to know that Structural Integration requires ongoing work on your part outside of the treatment room. The goal is for you to achieve better self-awareness, so you can avoid or eliminate the old habits that have caused the underlying issue. SI pairs well with many movement modalities such as yoga, pilates, and swimming.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Structural Integration</image:title>
<image:caption>Structural Integration (SI) is a process that combines therapeutic touch with education and movement to restore ease in the body. The theories behind this method were developed by Dr. Ida P. Rolf. A researcher in organic chemistry, she went on to explore diverse systems of healing including homeopathic, osteopathic, chiropractic, and yoga. Dr. Rolf’s work brought to light the relationship of proper alignment in our bodies and improved function--she called her work Structural Integration.</image:caption>
